Mention/tag a user in a post

Mentioning/tagging a user in a post allows them to be notified about the post. They'll receive an email and a new notification in the notifications menu at the top-right of the page. You can mention a user in a post by following the instructions below:

• When composing a new post, type in @
• Type in a few letters of the username of the user whom you want to mention in the post.
• Select the user from the drop-down.
• Click the Post button.

User mentions work in all themes. However, the user suggestion drop down and web/in-app notifications will only appear in the new themes. If you're using an old theme, the user will only receive an email notification of the mention.
